Booking An Act

On this page you will find information, commonly asked questions and advice on booking a professional act/entertainer you find at talented acts.com. We recommend you read this page before booking any act.

How Can I Be Sure An Act I Book Will Trun Up For My Function?

Most professional entertainers found on this site will provide you with a contract once a booking is made, you may be asked to sign and return a copy of that contract to make the booking final. Please note that once such an agreement is signed you have entered a binding contract.

Alternatively you can provide the contract and ask the act to sign it to confirm the booking. We have a standard entertainments contract wizzard here. (link opens in a new window).

If the act is not prepared to provide a contract then ask them for the number of an entertainment agency they work with and contact the agent they give you. This way the agent will provide all necessary contracts for you and the act.

What are the advantages of booking an act directly?

Basically the cost, many acts will charge more when working through an agent to cover the commission the agent charges them for finding them work.

Will I have to pay a deposit?

This depends on the act you should contact them directly to see if they require a deposit. If you are an agent or a venue the chances are a contract will be enough. Some acts may require a deposit for private functions. If you pay a deposit make sure you have a verified name and address for the act and a receipt of payment.

What should I do if something goes wrong?
In the event that an entertainer does not turn up or cancels an agreement without ample notice, you will need to contact the act directy to sort out your complaint. TalentedActs.com are not an agency and therefore we do not get involved with private agreements between you and any act booked from the site.

However if you follow our advice and make sure you get a contract, an address and a HOME telephone number for the act,  the act is bound by  a legally binding contract which can be persued.

Should any act not honor a contract please do let us know. If acts repeatedly let clients down we WILL remove them from this site.

What if the act says they have not got contracts?
Simple use the contract wizzard above and you issue the contract to the act.

What if the act will not sign a contract?
Most of them will, but if they refuse you can either try to book them via one of their agents or if they decline this idea we suggest you do not make a booking. Both you and the entertainer should be willing to make a commitment.

In closing we aim to put you into contact with professional entertainers, as professionals we very much doubt you will have issues with the acts as long as you follow the guidelines above.
